Acquisitions of ethical companies in Europe: case studies and managerial approaches

ESCEM Through the strategic analysis of five recent business cases (L’Oreal and The Body Shop, Danone and Stonyfield Farm, Yves Rocher and Terre d’Oc, Monoprix and Naturalia, Nestlé and Novartis Nutrition Center), the present article aims at highlighting the ethical external growth strategies. The bottom line is the identification of the concept of "ethical synergy", that is specific to external growth.
