Training policies and CSR practices, example of the Nordzucker Company

Nordzucker CompanyCSR practices can take various forms and include a large number of subjects and events related to the company. The Nordzucker firm, based in Germany and specialized in the sugar refinery, has implemented the practice of the vocational training internally in 1999.

The aim of the project is to pilot training programs, and then to standardize them and to spread them out (10 % of the apprentices being a part of the permanent staff).

The employees have afterward, the possibility to train in several domains: languages, social relationships … They are encouraged to lead their work by assuming their own responsibilities.

After 4 years, the number of apprentices has been increased by 50 %. Since then, internal standards in terms of apprenticeship have been studied.
